WHY IT MATTERS

Why professional training is essential for Knightdale dog owners

Safety & control

A dog that recalls off leash and holds a stay at a crosswalk is a safer dog — for your family, your neighbors, and your dog.

Stronger bond

Training is a shared language. When your dog understands what you want, walks, outings, and everyday life get easier for both of you.

Skills that transfer

Commands practiced at home are proofed where it counts — at Knightdale Station Park and other Knightdale-area parks and public places — so they hold up anywhere.

Family harmony

Consistent rules and calm manners mean fewer chewed shoes, fewer jumped-on guests, and a dog the whole household enjoys.

Behavior modification

Reactivity, leash pulling, and anxiety do not fade on their own. Structured training gives your dog a clear job and calmer responses, even on a busy greenway.

What Our Clients Say

★★★★★ 4.8 stars · 405 Google reviews

We met with 3 different dog training companies before booking w/ Offleash (our trainer was Denise) and we could not be happier! Not only did we get a better deal financially but we received daily video/photo updates, refresher lessons, and more. Our 2 year old dog Marley was very happy with Denise for her two week board and train and was able to work through some of her territorial instincts. That is still her nature of course, but she has made great strides in learning that not every indoor space she occupies is “hers” lol. Denise helped us to better understand our girl, which is such an important foundation first before layering in obedience training! Prior to her stay, she knew what many commands were, but often chose not to follow through. Now Marley seems so much happier after having learned boundaries, and she is also very proud of herself when she does a good job:) We will be welcoming a little one soon and feel so much more confident now that our dog can place, heel, etc:)

Trainer Denise Shepherd was outstanding! She taught us the basic commands with plenty of exercises. She’s just a natural with dogs and dog moms (me, that is). Highly recommend. We’ll be signing up for more lessons. 🦮

Denise from Off Leash K9 is amazing! We had our 1 yr old dog complete the 2 week board and train and she was able to identify right away that he was having issues with being anxious and nervous. We couldn’t see this, and unconsciously were making it worse. Not only did she help our newest family member to become more confident and obedient, she also taught us how to become better leaders for him. Her knowledge and experience is truly impressive. Her training tools and methods are impactful and really clicked for our boy! We know that we’re not alone in this journey and can reach out to Denise whenever we have questions or concerns after the training is complete, which is very comforting. We trust her judgment and her ability implicitly! We are happy to be a part of the Off Leash K9 family. If you really want results and a happy dog - go to Denise! A fantastic experience for our dog and for us!
